I dunno about the strip joint thing, but a girl that works at Hooters is smart. If you're good with people (flirt with them, make them feel special, etc), they'll happily tip you beyond reason. We had a friend that used to work there, and she cleared $300 in a 6 hour shift, on an off night. Work a good weekend, and a few days during the week, and you're clearing $2K, tax free.
Gee, the dumb girls, pulling in $100K/yr cash.. It's not a career obviously, but it can be one crazy summer job ($25K, enough for a new car) while still in college.
