Time to get Nikolai a racing seat for the back. Check OMP to see if they make one in his size.
If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?

Congratulations! From someone who's got an almost 4 yr old and a 16 month old here's some advice on SVT back seat room and getting kids comfortably back there. First of all, do some shopping around for a front-facing (when the time comes) babyseat that'll allow you to open up the front "armrest" so it can actually open up all the way (ie.clears the headliner) and not fall back down - it's a real pain trying to hold that up with your head while using your 2 hands to put the baby in the seat. If the wife has a second car, you may even want to buy a 2nd seat or maybe one of those with the bases that allow you to swap the seat in and out of both cars easily. I think the most frustrating part is taking the seat out, adjusting the tether strap, and reinstalling it - back and forth. Enjoy the baby - life really changes NOW!

Congratulations on your son. As for the racing seat I know that Sparco makes one but don't know how big/small the kid has to be to fit. Regardless, it's really good news!! Of course, I know we all hope for best for you and yours.

Thanks for the advice and warm wishes! I do have a rear-facing seat with a base that stays in the car - makes it nice and easy! The window tinting (Limo on back 3 windows) makes a much more hospitable environment for baby also. Much less direct sunlight and cooler for him too! The racing seat will come in a few years
