HP, compaq, sony and dell, and any other national computer vendors do months worth of R&D on compatability stability and performance, and testing (home brands like VPR matrix or compPC do not (btw, i work for compusa and our copmuter brand sucks ASS, they are built to make us the most profit margin and keel over dead in a year or two, ha ha)) . If you want the best for your money, not just in performance but in support, copmatability, stability, and scaleability stick with a big company that has the resources to support thier product. Its even better if you get an "technology assurance program" (that what compusa calls it) cuase we cover everything inside the computer even what the manufacturer doesn't, it also covers anything you do to the computer, we'll train you on it, give you free tech support, deliver and set it up, and clean the inards and do a virus scans for one full year. Normally, they come in 1 and 2 and 3 year terms and you have the option of renewing at the end of the term. food for thought, take it how ever you want....
