You guys are taking this WAY too seriously. To my mind it comes down to this:

If there is a God, He must be a Just God.
The Cubs have not won a Pennant since 1945.
Therefore there cannot be a God.

It really does make things easier to work it out this way, and your collective heads will hurt less and you won't need to post all this circular reasoning stuff and yell and scream at each other, and you'll be able to turn your computers off for a while and have lots of extra time to finish school or find a job or wash your Contour.
