Therein lies the fault of your and many other arguments. It is the tendency for most people to count the "hits" and forget the "misses". The selective filtering of information can lead to a unrealistic perception of world around us. That is why faith healers continue to slap people on the forehead while uttering jibberish; why people are convinced in life after death because of a handful of "witnessed" accounts; why a farmer in Podunk, Mississippi thinks that the "power of God" will protect him as he walks on burning charcoal. The people who didn't get better after faith "healing"; the people who didn't come "back" from the dead; the people who got burned while firewalking, are forgotten.
