I'll add my complaint letter to Speed when i get home... but... I fscking tired of all of Speed's adverts. EVERY 6 mins. of ANY program ( I don't watch NASKAR, so I'm not 100% ) is a commercial break. I decided I would call them on it and sent in an email, and to my surprise got a reply. I understand that they have to pay bills, but geez... It's 3 laps of F1, commercial, 4 laps of AMA, commercial, 6 min coverage of WRC, commercial, etc., etc... In their reply, they stated "we're trying to place more of the advertisements in the middle instead of the beginning and end." WTF?!?! You know... RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF RACING ACTION!!! Grr... But... as they are pretty much the ONLY pure motorsports station on MY cable network, wtf can you do? --JamesT

Hour 1: Race started with the pole sitting #2 Audi taking the lead in front of the #'s 1 and 3 Audi. The #5 Audi took to the pits immediately with a puncture, foreshadowing things to come. Jan Lammers in the Dome couldn't match the pace of the Audis and has settled into 3rd. The Oreca Dallara is 4th while the MG is 5th. Two Caddy's are in the top ten! The #11 Panoz is still suffering with dealer's luck. The fire on Thursday nearly packed them in, then they stopped on lap 2 with a puncture.
GTS isn't a battle at the moment, prodrive having the speed with the Ferrari over a Larbre Competition Viper and Corvette.
In GT the Morgan has hit the pits with a shimmy in the drivetrain. At hours end it had only run 5 laps. The Spyker had to start from the pit lane with a faulty battery. California based The Racers Group pole sitting Porsche leads.

Hour 2: Race pace has definitely settled in. Lead Audi's exited the pits in numerical order #1 in 1st, #2 in 2nd but a mistake by Milka Duno in a Panoz allowed Johnny Herbert back through in the #2. The lone Bristish-made Ascari had a HUGE off after a lower left rear wishbone broke. Werner Lupberger is still trying to get the car back into the pits. MG is finding that getting out of the pits is hassle with the touchy clutch. Cadillac CONTINUE to have problems with their starter, a situation plaguing them since, umm, inception of the woefully underachieving program. Though they SAY it isn't the SAME starter problem... The 11 Panoz is having another oil issue and has spent time in the garage. The two lead Audi's have a cushion over all competitors, and it is now Audi 1-4. 26 MG 6th, Bentley 13th, and 12 Panoz 15th.
The 64 Corvette had to adjust their gear linkage to keep the car in 4th and 6th gear costing them time in the pits. Ferrari continue to lead.
Much to the delight of the crowd the Morgan has returned but is obviously well down in the running order.

Hour 3: Is the rout on? Audi's still 1-2 in reverse numerical order. The 3 is 3rd and the 5 is 4th. The 26 MG is bring the fight to at least the last Audi, a mere .5 seconds back; the 27 had a headlight problem and has dropped to . Bentley is having a wastegate problem and isn't currently a factor. The 7 Cadillac finally hit the track again after an electrical glitch casue the non starting problem. The Racing for Holland Dome which threatened for pole, has fallen to 12th.
The GTS leading Ferrari is up to 17th overall, the 63 Corvette a lap behind them in 18th.
The Racers Group Porsche had fallen to 2nd in GT while PK Sport leads, the Spyker a competitive 5th.

Hour 4: Big development at the front, Christian Pescatori suffered a puncture in the lead 2 Audi. It happened around the Dunlop Chicaine which for you non-Le Mans-philes is just past the pit exit. By the time he got it back around the car had slipped to third. MG has gotten into 4th and by some measure. The team is optimistic that this car will end up on the podium. The leader had completed 60 laps. Cadillac has dropped to 12th and 28th and is in danger of being beaten by the Riley & Scott Mk IIIc a car they gave up on last season, what a disgrace.
GTS is a frantic battle. prodrive and 63 Corvette swap the lead with each pit stop. The 64 Corvette is on a tear to catch up from the earlier mishap with the weak detent springs causing the gearbox to come out of gear. GTS leader has completed 54 laps.
Morgan is up to 45th overall besting two 360 Modena's; but in typicall Morgan driver fashion the blinker is on! Freisinger Motorsport has taken the lead from PK Sport completing 51 laps after four hours (26th overall), Racer's Group remains 2nd.

Hour 5: Another puncture for the 3 Audi (who had one before the green flag!), moves him back to 4th behind the heretofore flawless 26 MG. the 27 MG has lost the alternator and is dropping down the order. Bentley is back at full clip, the wastegate was fixed and it is in economy mode but up to 8th. Up to 75 laps for the leader.
GTS continues to be one of the best chess matches. The Ferrari seems to have 2 seconds or so of speed on the Corvette and has a 50 second cushion, but the Vette is doing a bit better on fuel. Each team is infinitely confident. Viper in third.
GT is being led by Porsche, duh. Still the Freisinger one.

Hour 6: The 5 Audi, Team Goh, hit the garage at the end of the hour for some cooling system repairs. Seems as if the right sidepod has had a problem. The 11 Panoz also has cooling problems and spent a good quarter hour in the garage. But it is Audi in numerical order 1-3 then MG in 4th, Dome 5th, and Bentley in 7th splitting the Oreca Dallara's. Cadillac is 9th. 95 laps complete.
Prodrive has a lap in hand over 63 Corvette who nearly has a lap over the Larbre Competition Viper.
Freisinger Porsche with nearly a minute over PK Sport.
The movie cars are the last cars running, 46th and 47th, after fitment of cameras.
