Much like a telephone psychic, the bible is vague.
Depending on how you interpret some of the statements, reflects whether you think the bible is condoning slavery or not.
(Not to mention Latin is not a direct translation to English, so how the bible is interpreted between the two languages also add in a fair amount of bias).
The simple fact that it does not state slavery is wrong and has all the passages about slavery, one could infer that slavery is accepted.
My personal favorite line is;
If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness,
1Ti 6:4 he is conceited and understands nothing
So I gues that means if I don't agree with the bible, then I'm wrong and a bad man.
Well nothing like teaching people to have an open mind.
