God, this night just keeps getting better. The system is down for some database maintenance, and won't be back up until 6am.. So now we're stuck for the next 4 hours with nothing to do.

As for AIM, they've gone out of their way to make sure that you can't use it, apparently it was a real problem here before. More than enough people have tried to get it to work

AIM won't work at my computer either, nor will the CDROM or anything on the harddrive, but the network is open....THANK GOODNESS!!!

I've been working the graveyard for almost 1.5 years now and I don't mind it....it's kinda nice...

How would you like this schedule? I worked for a bank data center and we'd rotate shifts every two months. And they rotated backwards, day to grave to swing. They did that so they didn't have to pay shift differential. I never was able to get into any kind of sleep cycle. After 9 months, I found another job.

I do not technically work nights, but here is my schedule for the week:

Sun work 5 am - 1 pm
mon class all day
tues work 4 am to 12:30 pm
wed class all day
thurs sleep
fri class and various other tasks
sat work from 9 am - 5:30 pm, birthday dinner for my gf at 9
Sun work 4 am to 12:30 pm.

It is hell for me to get in any type of sleep schedule. It really sucks
