Hey, man... I am working the Night shift, AGAIN, starting Friday, the 14th.... You will see me on there, then.. I will hit you up in the Off T sections..

I work from 2115 to 0700, on the weekdays, and from 1900 to 0700 on weekends.. THAT sucks.. ends up being 12 on, 12 off... oh well Social life really takes a hit, you are right.... but as long as your lady is loving, you and her will be fine. smile smile

I don't get the shift differential pay, as I am technically on call 24/7/365.. military, and all.. so.. no bonus, no extra pay... just less daylight in your life... frown

Hope to hear from ya, starting Friday..

Laterz,

Ray

Wanna know what sucks? I got off work at 8am today, and had a 9:30am appointment with my dentist (my tooth's been killing me for the past 2 weeks). Turns out I needed a root canal, and they did it right then and there. I come home, and literally collapse at 11am (hadn't slept in 26 hours). At 3pm, I wake up with the most insane pain I've felt in a long time (hense the Percaset prescription, I guess). Now with 4 hours of sleep behind me, there's no way I'm getting back to sleep.

Working 7 12's and then getting 7 off would be a better deal for me. My buddy who's a pharmacist used to work that shift. It sucks in that you lose about 2 days every 2 weeks trying to adjust your schedule, but the 5 free days would be thanks enough for me.

Anxiously looking for a new job.. frown

I work at Burger King part-time ... today I worked breakfast hours: 7 AM - 3 PM. Other times I will work the closing shift (appx. 4 PM - 12 AM). It all depends on the manager's mood the day the schedule is done. So I can NEVER plan ahead for things more than a week in advance, because my only guaranteed free hours are between 1 and 6 AM. And that's reserved for sleeping only.

I am a natural night owl so you could imagine how much it sucked getting up at 7 am for me yesterday (grammar, who cares).

I would gladly work nights (did it a few times before) but the only jobs that seem to do that either require you have a degree (which I don't yet) or are worse work than I do now, and considering I work in retail, that's hard.

Anywho, you obviously have the internet so maybe you should brush up on some gaming or something wink

Every time I come online I wonder if the forums will be up

Firewall logs would get me in mucho trouble.. The occasional visit to the CEG is no biggie, but we are being watched to some degree. I'm sure after a week or so, it'll get easier. I used to be a night owl when I wasn't working, but they've had me doing the 7-5pm shift for the past 3 weeks, so the adjustment takes awhile..

That would just kill my night. Luckily I have free run of everything and in the 2.5 years I have been here, I have not got into trouble for the internet!

Dude. I work for a Super Target in the backroom doing the pulls and dragging them out to the floor. I think either way sucks.
