Umm... vinny? Not that i'm taking sides, but Slim Shady IS in NY right now, and you are here in FL, a bit out of the way to say if any one WAS in fact closed in the honor of John Gotti. As a former resident of Brooklyn, i know what you mean by "thousands of stores", but dude, common.
We all know that some one out there will be closed, but that's because they are some how connected to, or on the payroll, or were once a client of Mr. Gotti.
As for the rest of the city... from what i hear from friends, it was business as usual. The man had balls and brains, but used it against the people. Just a two bit bully who grew up and tried to own the mob world. The biggest thing in Mafia since good 'ol Al. May they both fry together in hell!
