i completely agree w/ greatone and whitese. i see it happen ALL the time, not just once for isolated incidents that i'm blowing out of proportion or thinking they're out to get me. if the lights and/or sirens are off, you set the example and obey the traffic laws like us. if there's an emergency, then light em up and fly. dont pull up to traffic at a red light, flip the switch, run the light, and immediatly flip it again, cruising at reg speed (not a sign of getting to an emergency). u want me to follow the traffic laws, then set the example, otherwise when i do a rolling stop at a stop sign, look the other way. u cut me some slack on petty stuff and i'll do the same. i've been doubleparked in ny only to have a cop pull up behind me and on the p.a. say "ok lets move it. this isn't CT". i go around the block to come right back and see the cruiser in my doubleparked spot with them inside getting a burger. tell me that doesn't get your blood boiling.
