The Cobra R
does not use the Lightning engine either. It used a Normally aspirated 5.4L DOHC 4V, based loosely on the Navigator block. The lightning uses a blown 5.4L SOHC 2V. Both are bad-ass engines, but both solve the problem in a different way.
