i work at an electronics retailer, and, long story short, a woman came in for a warranty repair on her computer, cause it was acting up. repair center sent it back broken with a note saying "foreign object (mouse nest) voids warranty. no repairs made." the woman came in to get the computer, and, of course, was pissed. we were all thinking - mouse nest? confused is that a virus, or another name for a computer bug or something? confused so we open up the case and there is a MOUSE NEST in the computer. about a foot long - the whole base of the tower, and about 4 inches high!! eek eek there was a tiny hole in the back of the computer, just big enough for the mouse to poke through. just thought i'd share!

There was a similar story in the newspapaer the other day. A guy in Ottawa opened up one the drives to troubleshoot a problem and a snake came shooting out. Animals seem to like the warmth of those computers.

About a year or so ago on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire," one of the contestants reached the million dollar question, which was: What insect actually got caught in one of the early computers which gave rise to the term of "computer bug?" The possible answers were a)ant b)roach c)moth and d)wasp confused

Just for the record, the correct answer is the moth. The contestant got it right and won the million bucks. cool
