Anyone know where a free one can be found in a short period of time? Like this week? My roommate is a loan officer guy and he wants to charge me $35. Are there free ones to be had? I need to find all the people I owe money to before I ship out.

"After your identity has been verified, we will send a private access code via U.S. mail to the address in your credit file, which you can use to access your report online. This process is normally complete within 5-7 days...
"You may cancel at any time during the free membership period. If you wish to continue your membership in the CreditCheck Monitoring Service, do nothing?your membership will continue without interruption. The annual $79.95 fee will be charged to your credit card account and your membership will continue automatically, billable annually at the prevailing rate."I'd probably forget to cancel it. And it takes over a week to actually get your hands on it. I appreciate it, though.

Have you been denied for anything recently. By law, the credit reporting agency has to for free give you the report.
Other than that, send in what they want, like around $8.

If you have a CC, just do it online at Equifax.com. Around $8 or $9, and as long as there aren't any identity verification snags, it's instant.

I got it through Equifax. $9. I had to call and get my identity verified. I'm pleased with the results. I'm not pleased with what's on it.

-Pete Hey, I'll give you a free credit report. Just send me your SS#, DOB, last 2 addresses, mother's maiden name. Don't worry about the risk of identity theft when giving that info out to someone you don't know. Fork over the small fee - it's not that much. You should check your credit every two years to make sure nothing funny is on there. I'm going to do it when I get back in the job market to be sure everything is on the up and up.
