Hey, I saw enterprise was hiring around here too. What is the pay? It didn't say online? If the pay was decent, I'd be interested.

Well... I talked to my personal manager today. I handed her a note that had the run down of what I felt was done to me. Here it is.............
..... To whom it may concern,
After several attempts and so called cries for help, I feel as if I'm being forced out of this company. Nowhere have I ever been so stressed as I have been here. Yet this job is the easiest I've ever had. Several concerns have been over looked or just plain ignored. Several others and I have complained about favoritism. Nothing has been done, and no change has been seen.
Others are just so lucky to be in their situation. I have my back against the wall with no room to wiggle. On June 3rd, 2002 I received my 8th coach for productivity. I am fairly sure that I'll be receiving one for the previous week as well. There is no better example of a “Forced Exit” than this. I've asked for help in anyway I could get it. If I'm lucky I get help for a matter of hours. I've been told to work harder, so I do. Still to no surprise I don't make rate. I believe my effort is fully appropriate and is deserving of a satisfactory job. I often go over and beyond my expected duties to try to help out my area however possible. One such example is going to my area manager and asking what I can do if I'm out of room or have no trailer in my door. This is something very few people do; yet I have seen no positive results on my behalf.
I have remained quite several times and did something that I knew was going to hurt my rate.
Examples are:
1. Accepting a trailer that will knowingly destroy my rate for the night.
2. Helping someone knowing that I will not be fully credited on my rate for the help provided.
3. Accepted a poor trailer because I was told, “This is all we have”, when I see people 3 minutes later getting good trailers.
4. Accepted a poor trailer because I was told, “We need to get this started.” Why should I have to start the bad trailer?????????

My area manager and operations manager have verbally assaulted me on more than one occasion. Granted I don't have the highest self-esteem, I took these comments very seriously and still feel violated today. Some examples of things said to me include:
1. Your walk is to slow.
2. It's hard to think of you as a good guy.
3. If you don't like it, transfer out.

These are just a few things that I feel have been done to me. There have been several more occasions where I have felt violated or discriminated against.

She seemed very concerned and told me that she would much rather make all the attempts we can to keep me with the company then to have to re-hire someone to do my job. She was going to get with my General Manager and I will be having a meeting with them both tomorrow. I'll be getting coached for last week sometime tomorrow.. That leaves me ONE more before I'm out the door. We'll see if they are willing to "help" me tomorrow. If not, I'll be taking a day off to fill out apps.
Jason

Sorry so long!!!!!!

I used to work for Wal-Mart for about 5 months before I got my job here. Let me tell you, that place is a nightmare. I worked in Electronics, and NO ONE who worked in that department knew anything about computers. I was basically a god send to them because no one ever offered to train them! Their computer/computer equipment sales were really low because no one knew what to tell the customers about the merchandise. When I started working there, I kind of trained the people in my dept. on basic computer stuff and then sales went up. Of course, I never got a "Thank you, Ron", I got to see my dept. manager get a promotion for it! Wonderful! Also, I didn't enjoy going to my first class at 7:00am and having to stay after, sometimes until 1am. Even when I asked politely to go home because I had class in the morning, they said "You're not in high school anymore, deal with it".

I only made about $6.50 an hour there at my "prime", and this is probably the only job that I slacked horribly my last day off. Any other job I would have been embarassed about this, but since it was Wal-Mart I really didn't give a s**t smile Highlights of my last day included:

1. Taking 8 15 minute breaks.

2. Taking a 2 hour lunch.

3. Having all the people in my dept. cover for me, i.e. when managers would ask where I was they would say I was helping another dept. or getting a TV, etc.

4. Having all the management PRAISE me for such a well done job and tell me if I ever wanted to come back, I'd have a job.

5. Letting my friends get employee discounts for the entire day!

I hate Wally-World. Once Sam Walton died the company went down the tubes big time.

On a side note, the one thing I always loved at Wal-Mart was watching huge, unkempt unwashed parents walk in with their poor children, who probably got their clothes from hand me downs. They'd buy a big screen TV, usually costing about $1500-2000 with their income tax & Earned Income Credit, and then I'd help them carry the TV out to their truck...a vehicle that was falling apart at the seams! Why couldn't they buy their poor kids some new clothes, and maybe fix up their car? Oh, no, a big screen TV is WAY more important that that!! frown

i dont know if all state laws are the same, but usually when your fired, if a future employer calls for verification, it's illegal to tell them you were fired. u can only confirm actual employment at the company and employment dates. other than that, u cant say anything. of course, if u r a great employee and your moving on, your previous employer is more than welcome to give a glowing review.

...and yes, I did SEARCH first before asking.

didn't you know? the tv was the babysitter until the kids are old enough to fend for themselves. these parents had the kids in mind when buying the best tv ever. wink
