A lot of people who are fired collect unemployment. The employer has to have a good reason for doing it. Don't get me wrong, if you get fired for poor attendance, stealing, fighting, etc...you're screwed. I say if you haven't found a job by the time you get "fired", file a claim. It's worth a shot. It's not a lot(50% of your average weekly wage in Ohio, up to a maximum of $308 with no dependents
