just don't wrap the tape around the cat's paws or anything like that!
just put a piece like maybe an inch or 2 long so a piece of it kinda flaps out, as if he somehow stepped on it on his own.
don't do all 4 paws either, you'll piss your pants laughing!
a friend of mine would put a bic pen in her cat's flea collar, so that a portion of it was in the cat's peripheral vision and the cat would run in circles.
