DAMN..... NOt saying the lakers are bad....... But I'm a fan of the under dogs baby!!! Anyway...... I think the KINGS coach lost it FOR THEM. Simply by keeping Christy in there...... He was having a terible night. Yes, in a normal game you let him get his confidence back... BUT NOT in the conf. Final.... errrrrrr He missed alot of key shots...... Bibby was the man all night.... Weber wasn't to bad..... He stepped to gaurd shaq..... Oh well...... I'm going for the NETS baby!!!!!!!!!

NETS all the way now :p
I agree Christy was having a bad night, but he probably told Adelman (coach) that he could do it, it is a tough position to be in as a coach. The only other person they could have put it there was Funderburke.....frankly I would rather have Christy in!

You guys crack me up,,,,You root for the underdog, but the Kings ARE So gooood!,,,IF they are so good, why were they the underdog in your eyes? If they broke down down the stretch, Its not teh Lakers fault.
I root for the Lakers because its fun to see how the defending champs have to fight off all the contending teams,,even when not playing so well,, all they needed was a dose of FOX driving thru th lane,,,

I am sooooooo sick of Chris Webber's hung dog, long face when things dont go his way....Between him and Divac they can make a melodrama soap opera...That is one of their problems,,,they are not emotionally balanced enough,,,when Shaq fouled out, or the lakers lost,,,I dont think there was one long face,,,,just play.

Bibby was taking Kobe to school the entire second half.. If kobe wants to be a really great player he needs to step up his defense and not let Mini-Me walk all over him.

If the league continues to allow shaq to run over defensive players everytime down the court, he should be the MVP every single year. In fact, there isn't another player who deserves any recognition, in comparison. If the officials decide to stop deep throating shaq and call a charge everytime he dips his shoulder to create space, then he will be the most overrated player in the game and will foul out in 6 plays every game.

Mini-Me walk all over him. lol...thats pretty funny....But I think they actually contained Bibby a lot more the last 3 games...But from the sidelines, things look simpler. As an ex pro athlete I can tell you that it must be tough fighting thru picks for 48 minutes...and then worry about scoring as well...I think what made the difference was all the free throws missed, and Fox, Horry and Fisher making some baskets... Regarding Shaq..the guy is big, and everyone is allowed to turn to the basket...if he turns without leaning, its not much of a foul. How can you be so big, and avoid touching someone when you are so wide...What do you guys want him to do,,,shrinkwrap himself everytime he wants to go to the basket?

No, the point is that he does lean and clear people out. I appreciate that his size is an advantage but he dids his shoulder nearly every time. Turn to the basket, make a move, head fake, or whatever you have to do to get a basket, but don't knock the guy off the play then dunk...actually, go ahead and do that, as long as the refs let you.
btw, what kind of pro athlete were you?

I was a tennis player...in the early to mid 80's...mainly in the red clay of Argentina ( I coach now)....
But I think that most players unless double clutching, dip when they go the basket,,,the effect is just magnified when Shaq does it. You know..having 4-5 guys in the paint, its probably impossible not have a foul of one kind or another...Basketball is just a bit too Chaotic to call each and every foul, but when they are called, people complain anyway,,,Actually,,not many fouls called when Kobe drove to the basket, and was fouled plenty when they tried to strip him.
