And it works! It had a 270MB IDE drive and 24MB of RAM.

I upgraded it to a 420MB drive (I have an 850MB I
might put into it) and a 500MB external SCSI drive
(this is old crap I have laying around). Also
upgraded the RAM to 52MB, the max it can hold.

It has an ethernet card, which works fine.

I installed System 7.5.3 with Open Transport and
Netscape 4.05...in fact I'm using it to post this.

I also installed Sound Trecker to play .mod files
since mp3s are out of the question with a
68LC040/33.

This was obviously a school computer at one point..
also on the pile was an Imagewriter II (I haven't
seen one of those since I graduated HS in 1995).

Before I got this thing out of the trash, I didn't
know much about Macs. I also didn't particularly
like them either. I'm sort of taking a liking to
this one, if only because it was in the trash and
it WORKS PERFECTLY...and it's something to play
around with. (Next I might see if I can install
the Novell Netware client on it to get it to print
to my Laserjet III)

After I found out the specs on this thing I was
almost tempted to put it back where I got it...
then I decided to see if I could at least get a
web browser installed on it to maybe do something
useful with it...
