Heck, there is one shop by my mom's house that knows me by name and they recognize me every time I come in (even if it's only 2 or 3 times a year now that I don't live at home). D@mn, I should have picked up a hoagie when I was down there this afternoon.

Sub way here is good. We have City Bites here that is really good as well as Jason's Deli. It's always a hard toss up to decide which one to go to, although city bites usually wins. Quizno's is here too and they are good as well.

We have Mr Goodcents as well. Decent, but no Quizno's.
There's another place we have, but I can't think of the name right now. It's on Dorsett, if any of you St. Louis peeps are reading.
Of course the best is a local shop call Amagehttis (sp?)
Just a little hole in the wall, in an area with lots of very good family owned Italian joints.

Subway is pretty good, but the one in my town is nasty. I went there once - it's one of the few restaurants in town, and THE only one that could possibly be dubbed "fast food". I think my town has an ordinance against burgers or something ... one of my friends works there. Often she works alone. There have been times where a guy and a gal will go into one bathroom together, and she can hear "noises" through the vents! Not a place I like to spend my time! But their food is good ....

Guess what the second largest (number of franchises) food chain is, behind McD's?

TB Owner of page 2. Yes, Mr. Goodcents in fact originates out of STL, as well as me (south city, baby!) . I was really suprised to see they now have one in Rolla, MO. and as far as I know, they are opening all over Missouri. I agree, no Quizno's, but I still think they make purdy good subs.
