If it is a PS2 controller card, then it SHOULD have its own dedicated IRQ. Check the mouse's IRQ setup within windows (I know... use the keyboard... ugh...) and see what it is... It should be IRQ:12
Also... you could make sure that the device setup for the burner doesn't have the same IRQ selected.
If you have rebooted since the CDR was removed, you might think that the controller card for the mouse went KAPUT... try re-seating the controller card.
Anyway.
1. Check your device mangager for your mouse's IRQ, should be 12..
2. Check your device manager for the Burnders IRQ.. should be NOT 12.
3. Re-seat the controller card for the mouse, within the computer.
4. As a last-ditch effort, make sure that your mouse isn't disabled within your BIOS setup, when you boot up... I don't know how that would have happened, but you never know, with these 1's and 0's...
