Oh well, I guess being in the Navy I know certain things about fleet deployment strategy that other people just can't possibly know, including the director of Sum of All Fears.
I always thought that the main threat to the air wing were cruise missiles fired by submarines...No way aircraft can get that close...that why we have the F14's, and the whole enchilada...Remember when the Lybians tried?
Regarding the periscope,,,I meant the periscope structure inside the submarine...It was all shiney and chrome plated...Wakes in teh water are fixed by hydrodynamics, not materials I would think. can u imagine teh reflection in the water if it had the reflective properties of chrome?
