I agree 100%. don't get too attached until you know if for sure, otherwise they lose interest. that has happened to me many times. i think i'm doing it the right way with my current g/f, although with a girlfriend, that's not as big of a concern. still don't want to overdo it though.

although i can't say "i know from experience," i also agree with this statement. it's not THAT big of a deal to have a g/f right now even though i do, because i did/do desire one. i think as you get older, you're expected to start looking for a lifelong mate as relationships become more and more serious.
