I think the corolla S is a great car for the money, it's about the same price as a civic or sentra, and faster than both. with a 5spd, decent car. And the looks are ok but kinda resemble the matrix. I tried recommending it to this girl I know who was buying a car, she went for the civic though...which after going for a ride, is pretty nice inside too!

New Corolla is nice.....not a blast to drive but it is reliable as f_uck.

Go with the protege. It's a really good buy. Today I saw in teh paper that the local auto dealers were selling DX's with 5spd a/c and cruise for 10,500. (Tempting) especially with about 3 to 4 k's worth of mods (ie, turbo, rear disks, 17 wheels, etc.) that this car could beat just about anything in the 20-30k range. Still thinking about looking at this deal to see if it really is too good to be true ( & it probably is)

I picked out an emerald green es smile including pwr locks and windows sunroof rear spoiler 16" alloys and MTX at that laugh going to pick it up on friday!!! 3 more days of this old protege! YAY!!! laugh
