Clue: You are not giving anyone a lesson when you act like an @$$, even though the opposition does not. *Cringe* Looks like I hit a sore spot with our resident cop-car physics expert. It's also interesting that any post which you seem to dislike is called trolling, especially for someone who's been CEG active for, uh, well, exactly how long have you been a member of the original mailing list and attending CEG meets? Before we mislead our fellow readers, let's call up a couple of links and see if we can review who first began to For starters... http://www.contour.org/cgi-ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=006974 ...and, of course, my favorite... http://www.contour.org/cgi-ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=38&t=001450 Interesting...I talk facts--with the backing of several other experienced members--and get called names. Do you treat motorists the same way when they have a point of view that differs from yours? I do appreciate your explanation of circumstances under which you'd stop a motorist for loud exhaust...though I'm still tickled Sally Good over the idea of a calibrated ear. Good to know, though, that you boys in blue are more dedicated to public safety by hiding behind bushes, trees, billboards, and bridge abutments with a cocked radar than in harassing kids with loud exhaust...

What facts about the law and writing a citation for excessive exhaust noise would you be referring to? It would seem that I am the only one who quoted a legal statute here. Please, do tell.... this should be funny.
Usually, when they have an attitude such as yours, I look for another reason to write them additional citations. They usually end up giving it to me. Too easy.

Ah, once again your are just stone deaf, or you don't actually read a post. On the other hand, it is likely just your trolling nature coming through again, as you read what I posted about a "Calibrated ear" and completely disregarded it for your agenda (trolling).

Oh, looks like we found your sore spot. Dont like cops, huh? Is that your true reason for attacking me? Thought so. Been busted for speeding or other offenses a couple of times? Right. You will likely never learn. Just keep telling yourself that we are tax collectors on wheels, that we are all crooked, that we all break the law at every opportunity just because we can get away with it... whatever... etc..... What a sad little person you are.
Oh, and once again you seem to suggest that the only measurement of the worth of posts by members here is the length of time the have been participating in this forum. I for one don't consider you superior to me in anything; and in fact pity you for your sad, limited view of the world.

Oh, and it would seem that in those threads you quoted, you were the @$$ first, attempting to sound as if you had something to teach me. Usually, when I stop someone for a violation, unless there is a clear need for a citation, I am more than willing to just give them a warning. However, I enjoy handing out tickets to those who display an attitude such as yours. I can see it now; I bet you ask the arresting officer when the last time was that he was certified on his radar, when it was last calibrated, and if he tested it with a tuning fork, right? hehe, that is one sure way to get a ticket. Roadside lawyers, gotta love 'em. :p

That's all I thought you would have to say. Here is something you should read, though I doubt any of it will sink in: Well, Mr. Citizen, it seems you've figured me out. I seem to fit neatly into the category where you've placed me. I'm stereotyped, standardized, characterized, classified, grouped, and always typical. Unfortunately, the reverse is true. I can never figure you out. From birth you teach your children that I'm the bogeyman, then you're shocked when they identify with my traditional enemy ... the criminal! You accuse me of coddling criminals......until I catch your kids doing wrong. You may take an hour for lunch and several coffee breaks each day, but point me out as a loafer for having one cup. You pride yourself on your manners, but think nothing of disrupting my meals with your troubles. You raise hell with the guy who cuts you off in traffic, but let me catch you doing the same thing and I'm picking on you. You know all the traffic laws...but you've never gotten a single ticket you deserve. You shout "foul" if you observe me driving fast to a call, but raise the roof if I take more than ten seconds to respond to your complaint. You call it part of my job if someone strikes me, but call it police bbrutality if I strike back. You wouldn't think of telling your dentist how to pull a tooth or your doctor how to take out an appendix, yet your always willing to give me pointers on the law. You talk to me in a manner that would get you a bloody nose from anyone else, but expect me to take it without batting an eye. You yell something's got to be done to fight crime, but you can't be bothered to get involved. You have no use for me at all, but of course it's OK if I change a flat for your wife, deliver your child in the back of the patrol car, or perhaps save your son's life with mouth to mouth breathing, or work many hours overtime looking for your lost daughter.. So, Mr. Citizen, you can stand there on your soapbox and rant and rave about the way I do my work, calling me every name in the book, but never stop to think that your property, family, or maybe even your life depends on me or one of my buddies. Yes, Mr. Citizen, it's me...the lousy cop! *********************

no, but it appears you may have run out of trolling ideas for the time being. I'm sure you will be back, though. As suspected, you didn't get it.

Since you seem to be seeking a bit more of a response, such I shall provide... Originally posted by Sandman333: What facts about the law and writing a citation for excessive exhaust noise would you be referring to? It would seem that I am the only one who quoted a legal statute here. Please, do tell.... this should be funny. The facts I would be referring to are the ones I mentioned in the two links provided. My ponderings on this topic are of an inquisitive nature--trying to get clarification from those 'in the know' on where the line is drawn as pertaining to exhaust noise levels Ah, once again your are just stone deaf, or you don't actually read a post. On the other hand, it is likely just your trolling nature coming through again, as you read what I posted about a "Calibrated ear" and completely disregarded it for your agenda (trolling). Ah, the name-calling again. Next, please... Oh, looks like we found your sore spot. Dont like cops, huh? Is that your true reason for attacking me? Thought so. Just keep telling yourself that we are tax collectors on wheels, that we are all crooked, that we all break the law at every opportunity just because we can get away with it... whatever... etc..... What a sad little person you are. Though it may come as a surprise to you, I have no qualms with good, honest, fair, and objective law enforcement officials. I grew up with a best friend whose dad is one. Other family friends were in the trade. I've received a couple of deserved speeding tickets in the past--at least 5 years ago--and was very well impressed with the level of professionalism, courtesy, and concern for safety that I received. The ones I do have a problem with are those with an ego sized inversely proportional to their objectivity and courtesy. Oh, and it would seem that in those threads you quoted, you were the @$$ first, attempting to sound as if you had something to teach me. Hey, when I see bad science, I call it. Not my fault it you have a problem with being told or shown the truth...

hehe, as predicted, you found more material. We all knew you would. My ponderings on this topic are of an inquisitive nature-- Um, no, the word you are looking for is "trolling". You are welcome. The rest of my comments stand. Thanks for reinforcing them yet again.

all i need now is a lot of throttle and a whole lot of bottle
