For full time active duty troops don't make nearly enough.
As for me (reserves) I feel as though I make enough. (0-3)
Cops, paramedics, teachers, firefighters, armed forces, and nurses should all be making more than they do.
The only thing that low pay does help to guarantee, is that the people who do the jobs do care about the job and take it seriously.
They're not in it for the money.
