With the terms set (must be realistic, appx. within a year or two), I'll be looking at a champagne-colored 1996 Contour SE, MTX Duratec V6. Preferably with moonroof and keyless entry. Pics are obviously unnecessary since all of you can figure out what it might look like. laugh

Seriously, this will probably be the best-handling sedan in my price range when I'm a sophmore in college. shocked

By then I'll be commuting to save money and own a car though, so if anyone's planning on selling theirs in a couple of years PM me in 2004 (assuming this forum is still here by then). I know that I'm am perfectly describing some people's cars here (a certain NE-CEGer comes to mind) wink J/K!

Reason I'm saying this ... "my" Contour technically belongs to my parents, and when I'm in college my sister will be driving it. mad

Gonna get the wife a brand new ZX2, I thought about an FSVT but they are too ugly. I will be picking this up in about a month, fully loaded, but an AUTO frown wife won't drive anything else  ...Oh well there's always Level TEN laugh

Next car will probably be a used BMW M3. If I can get the '94 lightweight Eurospec ones then I'd be realy happy. I'd also like to get the 87 or 88's which had the 2.3L 4 banger? I like both so I'm not sure which I'd like more. I think the older one would feel more nimble but the newer one would obviously be faster.

I have 0 plans to buy a brand new car for quite a few years, my 99 SVT isn't even 2 1/2 yrs old yet!

I really want a convertible so I can enjoy the year around good weather while living in California, basically a car that can compliment the household. I want a car with a backseat and thats sucks because I would love to get an old Miata.

Leaves me with a V6 Stang 'vert with a 5spd. Gee, talk about hard to find! Of course I wanta 94-98 too. Even worse with the slow 145HP V6 in it. Oh yeah, with the money I save I figure I'll just bolt up a SC for $3K and go dyno with 240+ RWHP!

Don't get any uglier than that!

Those things had a 145 HP engine!! Oh my gosh! lol and to think I thought my contour was slower than those things smile Oh, my next car? CSVT if I'm not banking just yet or if I am earning decent money possibly a used Saab 9-5 or an Audi A4, can't wait!

Hmm... after the SVT, it will depend on the finances but it will either be an Audi S4 or a BMW M5.

More than likely, it'll be an S4. That is just one badass sedan: 300HP with just a chip and the torque curve to match.

MMMMMmmm....

Preferably an 850 model.
Nice pick. I've driven the 840 and 850 before. The 840 is decently quick and is adequately powered, but the 850 V12 is fantastic. The power is better matched to the bulk of the car, and the V12 song is even sweeter than the 840 V8. The 840 was an automatic, but the 850 was a 6-spd (definitely the way to go). I haven't driven the 850CSi (the unofficial M8) but I imagine it's that much faster. Word of warning, this car is the essence of a GT. It's big, fast, impractical, and it's not going to win track events, but for cruising and general driving, what a car.

I think BMW got the styling of this car so right. Even though the original design is almost 10 years old, IMO it's still fresh and as modern as ever. It's a shame that the market went the way it did; BMW cancelled it when it started to get interesting.

As you can probably tell, I'm a huge fan of this car as well. Check out http://www.e31.net for more information and some cool videos. I want to get one also, but with under 7k units imported into North America, my chances of finding that perfect black 850CSi are slim to none...

So more realistically, I agree with Justin and James. Short of an E46 M3 (yeah. right.) or a late-model E36 M3, the S4 does it for me. In Nogaro Blue please...

Awww man...you beat me wink

Louis: Very good point! I'm with you on the Bimmers too. IMO they are somewhat overpriced. But they sure do look sweet!

1 year left till the 'tique is paid off. Then, hopefully I'll run it for a year or two while saving the "payment" in an account. Hopefully, then I will be able to pick up a WRX or EVO VII with something to put down up front .... hopefully.

Ideally, I'd like one of these but the price will probably be out of my range if/when they come here.

I'll still keep the 'tique as the trade-in/sale price is ridiculous for the capabilities of the car.

That's the plan anyway...
