I am sorry but GM cars are built better.
Are you kidding me?!?! eek I'm not saying that Fords are built... *ahem* "Ford tought", but to go as far as to say that GM's are built better!!!

I work as a valet, and I park many many different cars. I drive lots of GMs, Fords, BMWs, even a Ferrari once. Every GM car that I get into is complete crap!!! Paint is peeling, interior is falling apart, engine making hoorible noises. I see this in the new GMs that have less than 5,000 miles on them! Thats rediculous. True, Ford build quality is spotty, but then again, you aren't paying what you would for a BMW. I don't like Ford very much, but I love the Contour, and I would NEVER buy a GM product.

I say this because, of all the GM cars I have seen there is no real problems. While they may have some design flaws I don't see paint peeling OR any of that stuff on new ones. Sure early 90's ones did.

I am sorry but a tranny should go longer then 91,000 miles.

I also don't understand for those people who are on their third tranny, why don't they give it up.

Everyone I have talked to is amazed why a tranny would only last 91,000 miles.

I was going to get another Ford but that was until ALL of the Fords now are nightmares waiting to happen.

That's right, the transmission my my 87 LeSabre should have gone longer than 91K before it was rebuilt.

Ditto for the transmission in my wife's 91 Sunbird that required a rebuild BEFORE 75K

GM can build junk too!

Being brand biased is just insane guesses based on previous luck. I've had just about one of everything, including Fiat, Triumph, Ford, GM, Simca, Dodge, etc... The point is, any one of them could be a POS, doesn't matter what anyone else's luck has been.

I bet I could make just about any tranny go south well before 91K if I wanted to... It goes like this, "Well, I'm trading in the Dodge, might as well do a few hundred brake stands..." Honest, I've never done that...
