I want to clarify something in response to a couple of posts.
I live in a townhome complex. Most people have dogs around me, and behind their place have a chain by a big row of trees that they leave their dogs out to chill, whatever. His pit is crazy, and it "normally" only goes outside when he has it on a leash, it goes to the bathroom, right back inside.
Tonight (it happened @ 8:30 pm EST) his daughter opened the door thus letting his dog out. My dog was chillin on his chain. His dog got out and went staight to my dog and attacked.
He has been a good friend of mine for 3 years, which is what makes this difficult. It's not a situation where I would do what I should do (call the cops), and it's not a situation where I'm going to poison his dog as he lives right nextdoor to me and we hang out on pretty much a daily basis...
