Werd, a single drop of Dave's Ultimate Insanity had my tongue burning for 30 minutes. And I mean the tiniest little drop!

I tend to order the one level down from hottest when I get wings, since most places just overload them with sauce and it tastes awful. Not that I wouldn't be able to handle the heat.

But I love buying fresh habeneros from the grocery store. The clerks can never figure out the produce code, and I end up paying "green pepper" rates - like 5 cents per pepper. A few weeks back, I cut some for tacos. Made sure I washed my hands after handling them. An hour after dinner, I scratched my forehead and set it on fire. Had to use clear calomine lotion to calm it down.

I won't tell the story about rubbing my eye after handling dried habenero. Let's just say that I know what it feels like to get hit with a cop's pepper spray after that experience. frown
