Well I just got back from seeing this movie. Pretty good over all, but of course there were allot of fake scenes that I would most likely see on the WB or something. Like when Kirsten Dunst falls and still holds on to the cable WHATEVER :rolleyes: .
I do have one important question about the end, why did they make Spiderman gay?
I know he is not supposed to reveal who he is especially that his friend thanks Spiderman
killed his father, but come on a real man would be like screw my friend he stole her from me in the first place and to top it all off I?m Spiderman he can?t touch me. What do you guys think? I did like the movie don?t get me wrong I was just curious what other people thought of it.

I think Toby McGuire did an excellent job portraying Spiderman...much better than the comic books did in my opinion. Instead of him seeming like this "Extremely mature adult that has all of his problems figured out", he seemed more realistic as a "18-19 yr old who just got outta high school and is still deciding his path"...Although the end was kinda sappy, I understand why he did it.

It's a comic book character. Unbelievable things happen, that's the whole point. If you were expecting a traditional movie, you went for the wrong reason. The movie ruled.

Wierd, we saw it last night too.. Awesome movie, but I didn't like the "I'll always be your friend" crapola at the end. Nonetheless, I guess you can understand where he's coming from.

If you read the original comic. The girl on the bridge isn't Mary Jane. It's his girl friend at the time. When the Goblin drops them he saves the kids and no the girl (killing her). Opening an even deeper wound. So by changing the story line, but to still keep the two of them apart, they added the sappy ending.

...that and it leaves the story open for the next installment. my guess is that his friend(goblins son) will become venom or something and try to avenge his dad's death.

He is not Gay, just can't risk being close to anyone or that close person can be used against him like the Gobblin did with Mary Jane.
Also, Harry Osbourne (Gobblin's Son) becomes the HOB-Gobblin (Harry OsBourne-Gobblin) to avenge his father's death agains Spidey.
