I myself am from Israel, and I am a citizen as of 1993. The rest of my family lives in Israel, and may want to migrate here in the future. Does this mean that since they did not come over earlier, they should not be allowed to do so now? And as far as for immigrants from a third-world country, why should they not be allowed to migrate over? As long as they do so in the proper fashion, more power to them. If they can come here and live by the laws of this country, they should be allowed. Maybe we can have a probation period for those migrating here? (legally!). I with you when it comes to the illegal aliens, and the tighter border control.

A good life in the past may have not included some of the material things that we have today. But by today's standards, having these things such as a big screen TV, an SUV, or nice stereo system, may be concidered a good life, and if someone wants to come to this country and aquire these things, why should we prohibit them. If they can do so properly, and I mean by getting a career and a good paying job, let them. How does that hurt the rest of us?
