TB[/b]Yeah, in a CRIMINAL trial. I'm talking CIVIL trials where different rules apply prepoderance of evidence VS reasonable doubt, etc.

Have any of you given a moment to think about how F**ked up their lives must have been to do this? We exploit their laws, destroy their land, F**k over their working population (except the elite who benifit from Nafta), saturate their culture with mindless dribble, and because somebody wants to recieve some of the benifits of the consumer world that they have literally slaved to mass produce, you say F**k them? the person who built YOUR contour deserves less access to medicine for their children than you do, let alone a safe passage across a border, reguardless of their intentions? yea, lets put guns on the wall, then lets get Milosevec out of jail an have him lead the charge against Mexicans. You'all have NO idea what is going on in the world outside of your self-righteous little minds.

If someone chooses to cross in an illegal and unsafe fashion, why am I responsible for their choice? The outrage expressed here is to expect we owe special treatment to those who want to sneak across our borders. I don't know what the UAW guys in KC have to do with this. I don't think they are suffering for slave wages. That's who built my Contour. TB

Don't even get me started man. THERE ARE LAWS TO BE FOLLOWED. You don't follow the laws, you face the consequences. These people didn't follow the law. There are legal ways to do things, and then there are illegal ways to do things. You say "without breaking the law sometimes, you may never see what's wrong with the law". True true, but not when that law is what keeps a lot of our citizens safe and secure. There is a saying that says a divided kingdom cannot stand. Well my friend, we are that divided kingdom when we open our borders and let just anybody in. We can't just allow illegal immigrants to come in a mooch off of our system that we so carefully built. Granted, our system is not perfect, but it is okay to find a way to keep the illegals out. Would you want me to just walk through your house, without regard to what I am doing to you, and take water and resources that you have earned through hardwork (hopefully)? Of course you wouldn't, just like the illegal immigrants that we, at least most of us, don't want running through our country taking the hard earned tax dollars that we've already given to the government. Dude, you can call this view ignorant or whatever, but when they are doing something illegal because they THINK they can be better off here, they've got another think coming. Strengthen the borders, tighten the reign, and keep the illegal immigrants out. As for those who do it the legal way, MORE POWER TO THEM. At least we know that they are more than likely hard working for at least trying. the person who built YOUR contour deserves less access to medicine for their children than you do, let alone a safe passage across a border, reguardless of their intentions? yea, lets put guns on the wall, then lets get Milosevec out of jail an have him lead the charge against Mexicans. You'all have NO idea what is going on in the world outside of your self-righteous little minds. AND NO THEY DON'T DESERVE LESS, but there are legal ways to get into our country. AND on top of all that, this thread was not about keeping the illegal aliens out, it was about the stupid idiots who are trying to sue the government for not providing water stations in the desert for the illegals who died. SCREW THEM! THEY SHOULDN'T BE HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! And by the way, I do have a heart for those in other countries that are not as well off as we are, but when I live in a country that sends 14 billion + in aid to countries every year, don't tell me that we don't do enough. We can't just quit protecting our country to make everybody around us a mirror image of us.

Evanston IL is a bit far from the border. Seeing as how I grew up and lived until recently 40 miles from the US/Mexico border, perhaps I can shed some light on this. Have any of you given a moment to think about how F**ked up their lives must have been to do this? I've traveled quite a bit in Mexico, not just the tourist areas where 99% of Americans never venture far from but "real" Mexico where few "gringos fear to tread, so I know how they live. We exploit their laws, destroy their land, F**k over their working population (except the elite who benifit from Nafta) That is done by the MEXICAN government. Mexico used to levy high tarrifs on imports so the infrastructure of the Mexican workplace was built long before NAFTA. saturate their culture with mindless dribble, and because somebody wants to recieve some of the benifits of the consumer world that they have literally slaved to mass produce, you say F**k them? Mexicans who "slave" away in maquiladoras (border factories) don't up and leave the factories in order to come to the US. It's always steady work, something hard to find in Mexico. They're not going to just up and quit for a maybe chance in the US. Most of the illegals are poor undereducated unemployed farmers and Indians who have been fed lies about abundant jobs and opportunities by "Coyotes" (smugglers) who only want whatever money they can pay. And MAYBE they get a chance to come to the US. Remember the story about those illegals left to die in a locked railroad car in El Paso during the summer. That wasn't done by heartless Americans but by the illegal immigrants own country men. If you want to point any fingers, point them at the coyotes! the person who built YOUR contour deserves less access to medicine for their children than you do, let alone a safe passage across a border, reguardless of their intentions?
Hate to break it to ya, but Mexico has a National Heathcare. IMSS (Instituto Mexicano de Seguro Social)is their version of Medicade /Medicare/Social Security. They're not coming here for health care. If fact, many people go over to Mexico and mooch off their free Medical care. yea, lets put guns on the wall, then lets get Milosevec out of jail an have him lead the charge against Mexicans. You'all have NO idea what is going on in the world outside of your self-righteous little minds.
When your through being ignorant, let me know.

I personally have never ventured far from ignorance. It gives me comfort to know that I am way dumber than I look :p however I will comment (I read this in a book somewhere  ???) But the system is there to keep a structure in government. If it needs to be changed, write (e-mail) your local, state, and federal reprsentatives. Crying about it here is a good way to waste time, but not very effective in DOING something about it.

MIKE W, did you even think before you replied? Of course we don't hate the Mexican people; but as mentioned by others this is a lawsuit expecting the U.S. to protect them while they illegaly try to enter our country. I'll never support something like that.
Plus, they do have a government, you know. Instead of pointing the finger at those of us here that disagree with this silly lawsuit that only helps to detrimentally affect how weak our nation is becoming in any situation remotely un-PC, look at the true cause for their suffering. If they had a government that accomplished something, maybe they wouldn't feel the need to try and cross our borders. Far be it from me to deny them legal access, but to ask the taxpayers to fork over cash because of their stupidity is completely and utterly retarded.
Why not let the families of the 9/11 terrorists sue our country because security wasn't tight enough to prevent them from hijacking the airplanes and then dying because they crashed them into our buildings?? Does your argument seem a little nonsensical yet?
