im not sure if my house is haunted or if ghosts just follow our family everywhere we go! beats me. anywho, this happened last night while i was sleeping in bed. my room is completely dark because i have the window completely covered so i have no idea as to what was happening. little background first about my room. my bedroom door's latch or whatever u call it has a hard time "catching" so even those it closes, it doesnt lock, but rather just barely catches and if some wind stirs in the house, it lock slips off. anyways, im laying in my bed around 5:15 in the morning and im asleep and i hear my door's lock slip off. no biggie i think, it happens all the time. im still kinda sleep but still aware of whats going on around me. this is where it gets weird. i start to feel my sheets under my feet begin to pull away from underneath me very slowly. still at this point it hasnt really registered whats going on even tho i know whats happening. also, i have this small box fan by my bed that i keep on high and have it directed right at me. then all of the sudden i notice, the noise from the fan dampen as if someone stood in front of it to block the noise. immediately i woke up and my eyes were wide open and i had chills down my spine! i didnt know what to think. was someone in my room? was it a ghost? i was too freaked out to even get up to turn on a light. i layed there for about 20 mins wide awake, until finally the sun started to come up and i could begin to make out objects in my room and i fell back asleep.

btw, my bro has had 2 other encounters with weird incidents like this.

I have had some very strange occurances at my house as well. Windows vibrating for no reason, attic door opening over night, stereo turning on during the middle of the night. Who knows, who cares? they are bugging me less now that i am fixing up their house....

So were you sleeping then or were you awake? What this could be is you being in a crossover state of sleep and consciousness. Happens all the time. Any good Psychology book explains this.

It usually occurs when the brain is tired and fails to enter REM sleep. The product of this is usually something like you described, only it is usually much worse, with severe nightmares taking place...

Its the phantom ghost whore! She was about to pull the sheets off and take advantage of you until her ghostly rope got caught in your damm box fan. Too Bad for you I hear that shes a freak in bed. hahaa :p

well, when the fan thing happened that's when i for sure came to my senses, although i still think what happened to prior to that really happened.

I used to have strange occurances in my families first house in Birmingham... Waking up in the middle of the night and the rocking chair be moving back and forth, having the same nightmare about once a week the whole time I lived in the house and never since... Strange creaks and groans from the house when nobody else was home... MAN I hated that house!! Anybody in MI - NEVER move to Ruffner St.!!!

So its the ghost of the dead ax murdering maniac from that lived in your house before. Just make friends and play nice. :rolleyes:

my girlfriend says her house is haunted. she sleeps with a light on.. blah, she says she's heard voices, and other people have too, saying to "get out" and crap, she says its 2 guys and a girl, and sometimes when she's sleeping, she says she can feel one of them sitting on her bed, when she looks up, it goes away. funny, i've never heard voices... *twitch*
