As for how much it set me back to cut the fender, it cost me nothing. I did it along with some friends who have a body shop and we decided to have some fun over a weekend.
I pull almost (and I mean ALMOST) 29 m.p.g. on the highway, and I'm a pretty demanding driver.
I also just ran a 15.90 at the track with the tires spinning in first (dang, those Pilots don't hook!).
I have no other performance mods other than a KKM air filter. Don't know if those numbers are impressive for an SVT, but I do know that she runs a helluva lot better since cuttin' that hole.
And there are sufficient water drains in the scoop so I don't get a snoot full in big puddles and downpours (and we've been in both at highway speeds). I suppose you might not call it "ram" air, but it's definitely a good cold air setup.
