Ok so Joe and I went and checked out the two SVT's that I had seen for sale.
Contestant #1: The silver one over at Carriage Ford. Nice looking car. Has a couple issues. The passenger side skirt is damaged (Must be replaced) Looks like someone hit a curb or something. (Found a set on contour.org classified for $100) Small ding on drivers side rear door (very very minor). What Joe said is the worst case of bumper sag ever. Really wasn't saggin jsut not lined up the way it was supposed to be. Joe doesn't think it is too big of a deal. Overview: silver 1998 E0. No wing, no smokers package, interior is very nice condition. Asking sticker is $10,988 car has like 69,7xx miles on it.
Contestant #2 The red one on the little lot on preston. Ths car is a piece! 1998 t red has leak in both headlights (fog evident inside from rain) missing all four jack point covers! and also has fog inside 3rd brake light. has 67,4xx miles and they are asking $11,795. This car is overpriced and is missing interior stuff (like CD face) and has shioty shift knob!!
Looks like I will head back over to Carraige Ford and talk to them tonight and take car for test drive and see if everythign sounds and feels right. Then if everything work and sounds nice then I will offer them $10,988 for it with the condition that they take my truck on trade and pay it off (I'm about $1,500 upside down) with a $400 down payment.
