That bend is so it goes around the gas tank! Not through it (which would be bad - trust me
) Look under the car for a big black fuel cell right in the center uner the rear seats... This is why the bends are there and are necessary...
Also why it comes back to the center is to clear the rear suspension. Another thing you don't want crunching the exhaust (trust me again
)
