October 01, 2001 Vehicle towed in no power miss from engine several codes in memory. Mechanic diagnosed as wiring for the remote stat melted into EGR valve and cut wire at the coil connector this caused severe misfire, causing the catalytic converters to honey comb to plug and block the exhaust system! Temporary repair made by removing catalyst to improve derivability.
