What size is your clutch? How many spines? I might have a deal for ya if a 2nd gen NA cluth will work. I'll start researching, you do the same.
Figure out waht you need for a safe, reliable race car.
1)Clutch definetly.
2)Brakes, James car isn't safe IMO.
Those are th only two things you need. Helmet can wait. Next, is the budget allows, what makes you go fast?
1)Tires
2)How bad are the brakes? Maybe, maybe not.
3)Is the exhaust completely rotten? Cat clogged? My guy won't do a street car without cats but my exhaust was way cheaper than $700. You don't need the presilencer, they're too much $$$. Find a used header, that cat I gave James, a good muffler and some tubing. If you spend $400 you spent too much.
4)Sway bars car wait. We can play with the stockers in the mean time.
Take my advice on race car construction. Don't do it all at once (like I've tried to do). Do it a piece at a time and enjoy the car in the mean time. Don't make racing dependent on finishing the car.
