Ok, the res removal is a performance mod as well. It may not add a lot of HP but for my SVT it made the transition into the secondaries considerably smoother. The difference was instantly noticed. I also do not have to go into my secondaries nearly as much with the str8 pipe in city driving (I have driven the same route for 2 years). If you don't like it loud then put a aftermarket hi-flow muffler/resonator in there but DO NOT leave the stock res in there...IT BITES A$$!!
