Its a business and I can assure you they didnt decide not to bring you a cosworth mondeo because they would make drove of dollars and have sunshine shoot right out of bill ford ass! no actaully tehre isnt one here because that wont happen!
Get over it and go buy a 25k GTI! then you can complaine that it doesnt have 4 motion or the 3.2v6 or its too damn heavy! that for the same price the WRX is running circles around you! that your door locks dont work! etc Blahhhhha!
TLP, I'll bag on whoever I want, thank you. Ford had an exceptional car in the Contour and in particular the SVT. That it didn't sell is a reflection on their poor marketing and dealer service.
I read two posts here recently where 1) a dealer didn't know a SVT Contour existed and 2) a dealer didn't know that a Contour had a cabin air filter.
How could the Contour succeed when the above is an indication of the people tasked with selling & maintaining them ??
Regarding the initial piece I posted, the point is VW responded to their customers. VW are only bringing in 1500 so the beneficial impact to their bottom line is minimal. However, now VW enthuasiasts know that their opinions mean something. I think SVT owners feel the opposite is true.
Thanks.........
