Wow, I can totally relate in two ways! I had the same surgery done when I was young. In fact, I had tubes put in my ears twice before they finally put permanent ones in as well as having a good portion of my adenoids removed. It's a fairly simple and routine surgery and I don't remember feeling anything different once I woke up from the anesthesia.

Plus, I just had surgery on my ankle Monday. Having ear surgery is a piece of cake compared to this!

I think the thing I hated most about getting tubes when I was little was the anesthesia, but that was over 15 years ago, and the way they administer them is so much easier now...it usually is done by IV instead of a mask.

The surgery really helps and I had no ear problems after having it done.
