I think they do it because the elected officals to whom they report tell them they have to do it! Thats why it seems like such bull, probably because they are not really into it! Because they dont view themselves as servents to the community,,,,hell no, they view them selves as protectors and keepers of the law! Men with guns. Who wants to out reach whats manly about that?

I do think you will see some serious intrest in the racing. and yes if they see some dip **** with something dangiling from there car that could easily fall off and kill me while driving down the free way and they tell him to remove it or even cite him for it, well then I am all for it.

I dont think street racing is that big of an issue, however I see no reason why they dont just hit the track easier to orgnize etc. I doont know why the cops are involved at all? Should just be RMR as usual open from 10-2 for heads up grudge racing like it is on any other open track day!

Umm, no. I got let off on 105 in a 65 on I-15 in Layton. The cop asked me what the hell I was doing, so I told him. He laughed at my reason. Then he let me go. It probably helped that it was 4am and the freeway was almost deserted.

I agree with you Jared its stupid to even have them there, the whole idea is dumb itself. It should simply be a heads up event and not some fast and the furious street racer scene. Its the same thing that has happened every friday at RMR just that they are staying open later!
