P.S. is it just me or is it kinda fishy the police want to be involved with people who would "ordinarily" be illegal street racing. I mean I know they want to "curb" it and all but come on. I think theyll be out there with notepads and videotapes and I bet they cant wait to bust just one guy next weekend on the street and throw the book at him twice as hard. I think this whole police getting involved with the community thing is one big scam, all the way from block partys to school assemblies. But all in all maybe ill go, like to see what one of those crownvics would do!

License plates aren't required, are they? If you are worried about the cops getting that, take your plates off as soon as you enter the track. They can get all the pics and videos that they want, but without a plate number they will never know it was you.

When you leave, put the plates back on.

If they are running a video, see if you can get a copy.

Im not so much thinking about documentation but mostly them spying. After you go to 3 different drags and the police involved know you pretty good what are they gonna say when they pull you over on the freeway when your doing a 100+. Most cops are cool when you become friends with them, I have a few and have considered becoming a police officer many times, this is probably why I think this. If the cop pulls you over for speeding what if he says you were racing, and he knows this because hes seen you race with his own eyes. If you take it to court whos the judge gonna believe. Wether it stands or not its probably not worth the hassle. But hey who knows.

its a huge setup- yeah it takes the guise of an "organized" street race- BUT-
I think they are out to nab a few who possibly they coudnt catch- or whatever- you know what I mean-
I dont think that they will bother the majority of the people but I think they will be looking for a few-

also they say a "full exhaust" must be used- sounds like a sucker line to give every one illegally modded exhaust tickets!

So then why wouldnt they be out there evry other Saturday and wed night???? The same street racers run their cars all the time at RMR. YOu guys are paranoid. If you get caught at 100mph your screwed ratehr your a racer or a soccer mom!

Its not that im scared getting caught, like I said id love to race a crown Vic. I just think this community outreach stuff is bullcrap. I dont think there out to catch people I think there out to watch us, get to know us, and figure us out. Its like detective work but at a mass scale. And the people doing the work are the people busting you not the detectives so its even more conveinent. Its one thing to get caught doin a 100 its another if the cop knows he can fock you worse for it. Like I said, I think all this community outreach stuff is bullcrap, whether its gangs, self defense, racing, stereo competitions. Its all just large scale detective work in my eyes. You think the cops really want to get off there 14 hour shift and go hang out with a bunch of people and teach them stuff, in an effort to curb violence or racing or bumpin stereos or something? They dont care about us, if were not breaking the law they have nothing to do.
