If i was to cut my shifter to make it shorter like several people have suggested, how hard is it to get the thing rethreaded?

Also has anyone had a problem after removing their reverse lockout?

Was wondering the same over here.

If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?

THat would depend on how far you cut it down. if you cut off all the threads then youll need a die to cut new ones, if not put a nut on over the threads and cut off what you want to and then reverse off the nut. as it comes off it will clean the threads.
there shouldnt be any problems with removing the reverse lockout but why would you want to??

Well i was under the impression that if i cut it to make it shorter i would have to remove the lockout, and also it widens my options as to what after market knobs i might buy.
