i have a 98 gl, and im trying to install a new muffler. i need to knwo what the best tool will be to cut the bumper to make room for the new tip? im looking for somethign with a little more presision than a dremel? any help would be great

You don't necessarily have to chop the bumper...I got the shop to angle the muffler down slightly so that the tip would clear the bumper...

I can't remember who it was now, but some guy did that to his bumper and it looked great. He had a dual setup too. Check back in the photo/video forums, I "think" it was in there (a long time ago though).

I think it looks better, just scary to have to chop into your bumper, what if it goes wrong, YOUR SCREWED!!!

What muffler is that Drumnut, flowmaster?

Here the method I used: Draw a 3" circle on a piece of cardboard and cut it out. Cut the circle in half and use one of the half circles as a template to draw a cresent on your valance where the exhaust tips need to come through. Use a coping saw to cut out the cresent and finish with a dremel and fine grinding stone. The hard part is getting the mufflers tucked up high enough.
