Well, since summer started I've been using the A/C more, and when I did, the RPMs would drop just a little to quickly. So, I decided to open up my 7/32 hole just a smidgen more. While I took the plug out, I thought, "Hey, I'll giver a run." Wow. Driving w/o the TH fix SUCKED! I had forgotten about really rough shifts at high RPMs. Every shift seemed like I was leaving my foot on the gas each time I shifted. To anyone pondering the TH fix, give it a try. Any other testimonials?

I took mine out this weekend to see if I was losing power in the low/mid range since it seems kinda sluggish (put the plug in a year ago in the winter and didn't notice any performance difference). Well it seemed to pull stronger, BUT I couldn't shift smoothly anymore. Now I can't decide which I can live with.

I get about 4 more miles to the gallon.
If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?

OK, the inevitable question: will it hurt emissions? Thanks

ESC, I felt a little sluggish, too. Try opening up your hole a little and see if that helps. Emissions Q - I doubt it. If it does, it has to be a miniscule amount.

TH fix I did 4 months ago with the 7/32 size but didn't like the no cold idle result. So put in the 1/4 inch hole and have cold idle with a 60% reduction in the shifting 'hang time'. Seems perfect for my use. The smaller the hole, the faster the revs come down (cold or warm). Performance seems the same. ZZZ.

Most these testamonials look like they are coming from 5-speed owners... I've got an auto with obviously the same deal, should _I_ bother?
