A 95 for $10,900! Thats too expensive and not worth it with 20 miles on the odometer.

Man, I could go out and buy an 98 SVT for $12K easily!

I'd love to see a 12k SVT... there is a beat up svt for $19,995 near me, that's the cheapest I've ever seen.

There's a really beat-up Black SVT at Barg Waterloo. I had a test drive before it hit the lot, and they were going to price it at about $17k (CANADIAN). It was just very beat-up, or I'd be driving it...

I wish you the very very best of luck finding a $12k SVT or a $5k 95 SE that is in even presentable shape and passes all the tests.
Granted $10,900 seems high, but it does have a new engine and 2 year warranty, and the price is not arbitrary at all. I compiled a little spreadsheet with 1995 and 1996 Contour (V6's only) prices listed in Autotrader, AutoMart and Autonet.ca. Average Mileage is: 111,000 Avg: Price is $10,557. 1996 4 cyl GL's with 100k are often asking for $10,500. 96 LX V6 160k going for $9,995. Cheapest 95 currently listed in Autotrader is a base GL 4 cyl. 169k asking $5995. So either anyone and everyone is smoking crack while pricing their vehicles, or these cars are actually selling for those prices.

Hey Mike, I just noticed you live in Michigan. These are all Canadian prices listed here. $5000 US is currently equal to about $7850 Canadian. $12,000 US comes to $18,840 CDN. Perhaps that clears some confusion.

I went to Barg's website. It seems that SVT has an automatic tranny. (Oh yeah guys, nice attention to detail.)
