Lee-- does your car have SVT across the windshield??
About the shop- Midas did good work cutting out my resonator, they would probably do it for you pretty cheap. Also, in a few weeks, there is a new shop opening on Goshen Road across from Wolohan lumber that does performance tuning for Vette's on up, and the guy that owns it (my neighbor) said he would be happy to do work on the 'tour. So-- might wanna check him out. Whenever they do any work, they do free before and after dynos so you can see the gains. Sounds like a good deal, but you'll have to wait a week or 2 to get it done.
ps-- he's got a few choice cars from his collection out there.. you should check it out just for that!

My SVT does not have the SVT sun screen... there is another black car that has that & larger wheels I believe...
THX for the info... I'm in no rush at this point, so will probably wait for your neighbor - I like to give new car guys the biz...
It took ALL weekend (literally) to do the exh. manifolds...

Lee- where do u live? I always see a very nice black driving around in the Dupont area. I had my exhaust done at the Coldwater Midas too, and yes, they do very good work, but I think the Dyno at the new shop will be nice, especially w/ the work you're doing.
Hoosier- Are you from FtWayne? I go to DePauw, we should have an Indiana meet sometime in Indy or something... doesn't Krafty go to IU too?

mbSVT- I used to live in Kendallville on Lake Bixler, that little burb up IN 3. I worked in the Angola, Wolflake, and Fort Wayne area.
We do indeed need a meet somewhere in central Indiana.
I bought my Contour at what is now Dimension Ford, it used to be called something else.

I live off of Reed Rd between 37 & St. Joe.
I first saw an SVT in a parking lot in town, in early 1998 with Michigan tags. Started doing some internet. Called Allen County Ford (SVT dealer). They had gotten 1, sold it immediately. 2 more on order. I told them to call me when it came in. Last day of tax sale - 2% below invoice & 0% interest - car came in, I test drove, I picked it up the next day.
Impressive car... now if Ford hadnt gone cheap....
A meet up would be good... good way to share ideas / experinces.

I ordered my Contour Non-SVT V6 in April of 1997 from Allen Co. Motors. They tried to sell me the SVT, they said I would be the first one. But for 4k more, I said no thanks. A decision I have regreted. But I had already planned and later did dump $7k on a stereo. THe stereo won at IASCA finals. But now it has gone the way of ebay. IASCA stereo

Holy S**T!!! You have (had) a SEVEN THOUSAND dollar stereo? Good god.... anyways, I bought my SVT used in Chicago, found it listed on eBay, didn't sell, so I bought it for a STEAL. I never could afford one new. The guy that owned Allen Co. Motors was a good friend of ours and probably could've cut me a deal, but by the time I was ready to buy a new car, he was ready to sell... damn that bad timing. Oh well. I had a 98 SE that I totalled, and it was just natural for me to get another one, especially the SVT... you should think about upgrading. I haven't seen yours, but the SVT, even in stock form, is hard to beat...
