Ok...I've been calling on room reservations and prices are pretty steep...going to be at least $80 per room per night. Red Roof Inn is cheaper but right now I can only get one room. So what I need now is a CONFIRMED list of who wants to share a motel room & for when, and I need this ASAP.

Myself and a couple others will definitely be staying thursday-saturday (checking out sunday).

Please post here if you want to share a room & for what days. If you're still not sure what you're doing, please try and decide quickly...I've yet to make the reservations because the prices were a fair amount higher than I anticipated and I don't want to make a move until I know people are actually going to follow through.

FYI, we'll be staying in Gaylord...about 35-40 minutes west of Atlanta & the site for the rally. Gaylord is right off I-75 and there's actually a fair amount of restaurants/things to around there.

Actually, you'll have to ride up with Greg. I'll be on vacation the week prior to the rally, so I'll be up north already

We'll be staying in Gladwin. I will need to know where you guys wind up, so we can meet.

Will not be attending, due to crappy parents...

I'll have definite plans tomorrow but as of right now i hope to just get a room for fri night. I'll post back tomorrow with definite plans.

sorry for the delay - been out of town. a buddy and i will be coming up staying thursday and friday driving back saturday night (need to fly to maimi sunday morning). i'll book a room near the red roof in gaylord for us and see you guys there.

BTW, i get my tour back tomorrow from Car Star. yes, i'm geeked to get her back. been exactly a month.

Well, with most people either changing their minds or doing their own thing I've decided to not get any rooms up in Gaylord. Mark & Todd, I've got you guys covered, but for the rest I apologize if this kinks up your plans at all. With the general lack of response, cancellations and people doing their own thing (which BTW is alright with me) there just isn't really any reason to reserve a room/rooms. At $30 for three days it would've been fun to reserve a room with a bunch of gearheads, but at $60 for three days it's just not worth it.

Matt: Mark, Todd & myself will be staying at my parents...I'll be up north the whole week prior to the sno-drift, give me a call when you get your room (989)821-8744. We can meet you guys in the morning on our way out (we need to go through Gaylord anyway). Try not to run over any snowmobilers!

Mike95se...if you want to meet up with us Saturday morning you're welcome. We'll be staying in Higgins Lake, I presume you know where that is Just be prepared for an early day...we'll probably be on the road around 7am.

i meant to get back to this post a lot sooner but if been real busy, sorry. me, evoVIIfan, and a couple friends are gonna get a room at the quality inn in gaylord friday night. if you want we could all meet up sat morning. probably around 8 or 9? im no too sure when you are gonna be up here but you can give me a call before friday to discuss whats goin on. 989-366-0112. oh, and what are you gonna be driving? think i might get the van.


while we were on the subject of running over snowmobilers, ive got a story. im driving down m-55 and i see this snowmobiler waiting to cross. im thinking what an idiot because there is maybe 2 inches of snow and he out. then all of a sudden he starts to cross right in front of me. i just hit the brakes an hoped to god he got out of the way. luckily he did. how he didnt see me is unknown. he's just one lucky mofo ive got anti-lock and i didnt slide.
